CamCon is looking for a Panel Room Coordinator! Responsible for the curation and smooth running of one of the cornerstones of the CamCon experience, in a 220 seat theater, you will be a positive, committed, individual who will ensure that the attendees at CamCon 2014 have access to the most interesting and invigorating Geek Culture talks possible. Duties will include: *booking panels and panelists for CamCon 2014, focusing on Geek Culture topics *supervising technical and logistical requirements for panelists *working with the Cos-Play Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of The Masquerade *working with the Evening Entertainments Coordinator to provide post-panel events *Promoting panels and ensuring that all attendees are aware of the program available to them. Role Requirements include: *Regular Access to Facebook and Skype *Frequent access to email *Ability to attend monthly online meetings, and occasional onsite meetings *Ability to take ownership of a role whilst working within the committee and giving input into all elements of CamCon. *Able to be in Cambridge all day on Friday the 29th and Saturday the 30th of August (accommodation is available) Previous experience with convention work is not essential, although a can do attitude and a methodical approach is a must.
