Came home from our trip and discovered my post from Zimbabwe had not gone through! So, though, Im home, am posting it because it was mostly about the people whom we found to be so open, friendly and genuine. In Zimbabwe, not far from Victoria Falls, we visited a homestead/village where were welcomed into their kitchen hut (made out of termite soil from termite piles!). There was an exchange of Q & A from both sides. We had bought groceries at local stores and gave them to them just before we left. It was a heartwarming experience for everyone. Also, every time we arrived at a new camp (3) we were greeted with song by staff members and the last night at each camp, they danced for us. We, the women had choreographed a dance to Shakiras Waka Waka and we danced it at every camp. I dont have pictures since I was dancing; maybe others do. The men were creative & made up lyrics about our days there and they sang them to staff. Jane had green shirts made for all of us before our trip, so we wore them for all our performances. Staff members said we were the fist persons who had visited them in uniform. LOL
