Came to work yesterday, with only a light jacket, no hat, no umbrella... and no lunch. Of course, the heavens opened up just about lunchtime, thunder and lightning (which is TRULY rare in Northern California) so, after waiting about a half hour, I took the plunge (almost literally), and walked a few blocks over to The Fillmore to grab some lunch. By the time I got back to work, I was thoroughly drenched. The best part was, though, with my new haircut, I could actually enjoy the rain (like I did when we were young), knowing that my hair wouldnt even be an issue. A few paper towels, wipe, wipe, hair done. Then, had to lay out my gloves and jacket for a few hours to dry. Life is good (but today, I have a hooded jacket and umbrella, just in case. Yes, Im a wuss).
