Camel Race Via ArabTimes Kuwait’s 14th Camel Racing Tournament is kicking off today, under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, with a wide Arab and international participation. More than 2,000 camels will be in the five-day race that reflects the authenticity of Kuwaiti heritage. The race will be held at the Martyr Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah track at Kuwait Camel Race Club. A heritage village will be opened on the sideline of the race. Director General of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports and head of the race’s organizing committee, Sheikh Ahmed Mansour Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, told the press that the race has been successfully held for 14 consecutive years.
