Camille Second Update (see 7/24 for original posting): Not too surprisingly, Camilles husband did not react positively to her news that she is pregnant and making an adoption plan. (he has been in prison for about two years.) He wants nothing to do with her or the pregnancy. This leaves us with the only option of serving him with a Notice of Intended Adoption Plan and waiting to see what he does. He can respond with an affidavit of non-paternity, which is tantamount to his consent, he can file an objection to the adoption plan and provide his commitment pledge (outlining his planned support for the child) or he can do nothing at all. If he elects to do nothing in the 30 days after receiving notice of the plan, that can be construed as his waiver of any objection. So the next step is to have him served and wait and see what he does in the next 30 days. Baby is due in March, so we do have some time. MRM 7/29/14
