Campaign Against Illegal Fishing in Virac, Catanduanes Date/Time/Place: January 5, 2014 / 1:15 A.M / Sea Water of Brgy Yocti, Virac, Catanduanes. Suspect/s: 1. Richard Suarez y Talan, 19 years old, single; 2. Ernesto Ibatuan y Ferrer, 32 years old, married; 3. Nilo Solo y Bartolome, 39 years old, married; 4. Elvis Ferrer y Sopranes, 32 years old, married; 5. Eutemio Ebatuan Jr y Ferrer, 33 years old, married; and 6. Ramon Ferrer y Dela Cruz, 32 years old, married and all residents of Barangay Yocti, San Andres, Catanduanes Status: Under the custody of San Andres MPS Brief Narrative of the Incident: On the aforementioned date/time and place, while the elements of San Andres MPS led by PSI EDGAR C CLERIGO were conducting seaborne patrol at the sea water of abovementioned place apprehended the aforesaid suspects while in the act of illegal fishing using compressor and confiscated from their possession are the following: 1. One banca, colored maroon 2. One 12 hp engine without trademark, colored red; 3. One pc of compressor engine, colored red with attached air tank, colored white; 4. One pc anchor with attached rope more or less 30 meters; 5. One pc propeller shaft; 6. Two pcs boat paddle; 7. Four pcs divers goggles; 8. Two pcs fishing spears; 9. Eight pcs diving fin (kampay); 10. One pc styro box, colored white that contains assorted fish with estimated weight of five kgs 11. 160 meters hose colored yellow and green; 12. 5 meters hose, colored red; 13. One pc fish net, colored black; 14. One pc container, colored green with one half quarter filled of gasoline; and 15. Other fishing paraphernalia’s. Appropriate case is now being prepared for filing in court
