Campbell Newman promised a stable, sensible and responsible government here in sunny Qld just what we need people said .... what we have got is a police state with powers to do all manner of things. The Qld state government has rushed through legislation re outlaw motorcycle gangs and other criminals. By the way the legislation is written, the new laws can also be applied to everyday, law abiding private citizens. Mates out for a Sunday bike ride, HOG groups, Ulysses, Vietnam Vets, a family BBQ in the park etc all fall under the umbrella of this legislation. Any gathering of four or more people in a public place. Such gatherings can, without any suspicion of wrong doing, be subjected to on the spot searches, drug tests etc People could be arrested and charged for the mere act of gathering in numbers. This is Australia, not some third world dictatorship ... I wont have my freedom violated ... our armed forces didnt die for this shit :-(
