Camping in Moab for free means driving a little way out of town, usually to some remote, desolate looking piece of bad-lands, or incredible red rock fins. Yesterday I spent an hour or two walking those bad lands with Norman Kirk, looking for the source to a particular layer/kind of rock we were finding everywhere, but couldnt figure out where it cam from. Great way to pass a day doing pretty much nothing...
