Can I ask how a supplier can offer a 25 year warranty? I feel that no manufacturer can predict performance and quality that far irrespective the warranty terms. Most life insurance companies providing guaranteed annuity pay-outs require actuaries to assist in predict premium contributions. If we compare this to any physical product (like solar panels) - I believe any warranty beyond 2-5 years surmounts to a scam. I suggest that most 25 year warranty companies will not even be in the market in 15 years time. If price is higher because of this quality warranty, we should know which insurance company is carrying this warranty risk as solar companies on their own cannot offer this. Be also careful that the warranty is not covered by a captive insurance company in some tax haven owned by the manufacturer/supplier and they again covering their own product with no real premium provision to cover such warranty.
