Can Musicademy run training sessions in the North of England and - TopicsExpress

Can Musicademy run training sessions in the North of England and Scotland? As youre probably aware we have a couple of training sessions scheduled for Kent and London in the near future. Inevitably weve had a number of people from more northern parts of the country asking what our plans are for anything near to them. Wed love to come and do some training in the north of England and also Scotland but we do face a number of challenges which Ill share here not to moan but in the view that you or others may help us with the problem solving. - Because weve historically done events like Spring Harvest, New Wine, CRE, Mission Worship etc down south, our mailing list is much stronger there. We have done the odd Midlands and Northern event (for instance we did a day in Huddersfield in November) but we can struggle to get the same numbers - When we do events that are a long way from our (and our tutors) home base we have to factor in extra travel time, travel costs, overnight expenses and we pay our tutors extra because they are effectively giving us a lot more time because of the travel. A day of training in Scotland is effectively 3 days out for us. So, whilst wed love to do them we would need some support/underwriting from the local church base. Everyone always says we have loads of people that would come, and we know all the local churches, they will all send their entire worship team but the reality is that people are busy, they dont really how fantastic the content will be so dont prioritise the date (honestly they have told us that after the event when everyone is raving about it) and so we cant guarantee to get the numbers to make it commercially viable. So if you or anyone else in the Northern climes would like to work with us wed be delighted. Well do out utmost to make it work and will of course push all the marketing at our end but wed need a commitment from the host church(es) to underwrite the cost of the event if we didnt get say 110 people buying tickets (our current range of numbers goes from 85 to 150 at events from the last 3 years). We would hope that a level of underwriting actually would result in a much deeper level of buy-in at a local level helping make this a dont miss event. Would love to know your thoughts on all this. The feedback we get from our training days is universally positive. Typical comments are If wed have known it was going to be this good wed have got our entire worship team to come. As you can see, we face a few challenges in making that happen. Marie
