Can anyone explain why we should not pull out of all the Middle East, except support for our ally Israel. Also, why should we not open up ALL (government and private) domestic oil fields (and build Keystone) to make up for the 10% imports we potentially would lose if oil-producing nations in the Middle East stop selling us oil? Do we let Europe fall to a Caliphate - at this point - yes? Instead, should we protect our own borders and people? Historically speaking, the rise and fall of Muslim Caliphates occur over the centuries (last one about 700 years ago). Maybe it is time we recognize there is only so much we can do with people holding a tribal mentality but living within the modern nation-state system. While I am at it today, why are we not talking prevention by working with other nation-states to stop all international traffic out of the Ebola and Marburg-infected areas of Africa. Thats right friends, Marburg is active in Uganda right now! As far as I am aware, we are not screening for it! If you are not familiar with this virus; it is somewhat similar in molecular structure to Ebola. Its a hemmoragic and very deadly. The job of government is to do for the people what we cant do for ourselves. Defense is at the top of the list. Our government continues to fail us on so many accounts!
