You have good reason to be cautious. :/ Anja Riley I am trying to find out more info about the Hendra vaccine. As my friends may know, I lost my precious Kaludah Gonzo a while ago now. It may be coincidence, but I feel I have to know. Gonzie started getting increasingly uneasy and started having seizures within days of having his Hendra shot. After several seizures, he was frightened and his little back legs didnt wish to work any more properly. Ian Gollan said he had neurological damage. Gonzie was a huge boy, and when he was not functioning and frightened ( after a seizure he would blankly trot and trot and trot, with a wide eyed frightened look, and the only way I could help him was to sedate him. ) It was heart wrenchingly horrible. He had never ever, in all the years I have owned him showed any signs like this before. I rode him just about every day. Every time I mention the vaccine and what happened, vets just shut me down - but they wont explain either. As I said it may be a coincidence. I miss my Gonzie so much. I just need to know. Anyhow, there is not much information about the vaccine around. I have described what happened to Gonzie, I am just wondering if there are any other people whose horses suffered anything similar.
