Can dance teachers plz confirm for me... As Im sure you will all agree... Dance comps and festivals are a responsibility we have as teachers to attend. Yes, we arent paid to attend, and we give up our weekends to be there, often giving up spending time with our own kids to make sure we can do our job properly. BUT, if we didnt do it, it would be very hard to grow a business, which would make it very hard to pay the bills. Its what comes with being a manager. The manager at Tesco may be called to meetings outside of work he/she is not getting paid for, BUT IT COMES WITH THE JOB TITLE. Im fed up of people thinking that all these dance festivals are a jolly little holiday. Late nights and early mornings, making sure the kids are well presented, and having a responsibility to ensure they perform to the best of their ability. THEY ARE HARD WORK, but it comes with the job and its part of what we do. But people need to understand they are not a holiday!! Thankfully, us dance teachers have CHOSE to get off our backsides and do something we enjoy 90% of the time. So those that are doing a job you dont enjoy making digs about all these holidays we supposedly get YOUR WRONG!!! Grrrrrrr!
