Can govt workers all agree that they need to be more performance driven to justify their pay? If we put in place a credible government as a service regimen, I am sure that the wheat can be taken from the chaff and we will all benefit. To the govt, it isnt wrong to lay off workers, Already a lot of them are not needed because we have more efficient systems and technology invested that should take care of things. We rather should focus on functionality and not pleasing everybody. All we need is a vibrant private sector ready to absorb the teeming numbers of skilled and semi skilled workers, however, this requires a robust macroeconomic environment, which is the biggest challenge.
