Can someone here, knowledgeable about our deal with Modern Gas, help me out please? A few years back, Emerald Lakes made a deal with Modern Gas that we would pay .60 cents over the going rate for propane. We were provided the following link eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet_pri_spt_s1_d.htm to let us know what the current propane rate was and we could expect to pay approx. .60 cents over that rate (give or take a few pennies) Last month I called for a delivery and based on the above, expected to pay $1.16 per gallon. When I received my bill I had been charged $1.45 per gallon. I called and was credited the difference but was told that we now pay .70 cents above the going rate. That seems reasonable, as we havent had an increase in at least 3 years. Today I called as I always do, to pay my bill and to order a fill up. If you click the link you will see Propane is at .452 cents per gal. That plus .70 would be approx. $1.16 per gallon. When I asked the woman on the phone what todays Emerald Lakes price was, she said $1.42... I asked why so high and explained how I got to my estimated cost she said I must be looking at the wrong website. When I asked her what website I should be looking at she said she didnt know, when I asked who I should ask, she said she didnt know. Can someone please let me know if things have changed with regard to our agreement with Modern Gas or who at Modern I should speak to? Thank you in advance.
