Can technical support contribute to a better life? Within the scope of the BMBF confinement week on technological support of ageing (uni-ulm.de/med/med-medgeschichte/oeffentliche-veranstaltungen/tagungen-workshops/bmbf-klausurwoche-technisierung-des-alters.html) junior scientists came together with experts and seniors to discuss about the advantages and challenges of AAL (Ambient-Assisted-Living) technologies. Different lectures and workshops offered the chance to learn about ethical, judical, social and medical aspects of technical assistant-systems for older people in need of help and care. In his expert lecture concerning the "Use of the internet by older people" Markus Marquard (ZAWiW, Ulm) introduced among others the @Learn project as an example for an innovative educational project that supports active ageing.
