Can the society function without religion? Everyone believes in something regardless of status; we have seen head of states, governors and dignitaries bow and kneel down before religious leaders, professing allegiance to (D) deity in shrines and worship centers. Political leaders are elected by the state as religious leaders are elected by God, then one can say the former concedes to the later by virtue of its divine authority. So it will not be totally wrong to say that political leaders should seek advice, solutions from religious leaders. The only snag is ... are our present day religious leaders truly divine(food for thought!).
