Can we as a people today survive for very much longer if we keep on draining the worlds resources faster than she can replenish them? Is an economy really a successful one when in order to be successful it must keep on taking away from the very planet that sustains the species as a whole? Who does not walk around the elephant in the room? Are we all accustomed to pretending that it does not exsist? Rich or poor or in-between regardless of who you are this issue effects every single one of us. A future based on consumption of goods which were the product demand and demand lower price increase cheaper and cheaper product( it is no wonder why the food, air, water, etc, etc. is becoming more and even more polluted with each passing day as things are going now). Yes it is easily blamed of those at the top or someone else but you and I are also very much so a part of the human species. We all hold blame, to a greater or lesser, lesser or greater degree, but that is not the point here. If you really want to help stop the cycle of consumption of goods regardless of the cost(s) that it has on the future( non-money wise, importantly wise), then do something about it. Now you do not have to go and fight the big corporations right away as you are. Go do something to give back to the enviroment. Go plant a plant, once a week, if you have a patch of land that you are not using use it to grow benefitical things, like flowers to promote the population of bees, or if you are in it for a buck you can even see about renting it out to people who like to garden but do not have the space for it. They get free food, and you get a few dollars in your pocket and the good feeling(s) of knowing that you helped out your fellow man/woman, but also gave back to the planet that so desperetly needs a refilling of its diminished resources.
