Can we share some videos, photos, or just some some words about holidays or celebrations in our villages, cities, countries, and cultures in December? If we post about national or political holidays, I want us to be careful. This is an international group, and often national holidays are connected with war (against other countries) or independence (from other countries). We want this group to welcome people from around the world, so that means we should not post videos, photos, or comments that attack others. Tuesday is December 16, and thats Victory Day in Bangladesh. I hope that some Bangladeshi friends and students will share videos from this day. This video is actually from Independence Day (March 26) in 2013, but I wanted to share it because the music is beautiful and because it shows bicycles, my favorite way of seeing the world. The lyrics to the song are as beautiful as the video, but they also hold a lot of pain. The chorus is purbo durghonte, shurjo utheche, rokto lal rokto lal, which means in the eastern horizon, the sun has risen, blood red, blood red.
