Can we truly fathom the magnitude of what today truly means? I know sometimes in the busyness of my everyday life I often dont think about exactly what it was that Jesus did for me. Its not that I dont know it and I dont take it for granted but to realize that Jesus took on every sin in the world when He was nailed on that cross is just more than my little mind can process at times. He loved us so much that He was willingly beaten to within an inch of His life and allowed those nails to be driven into his hands and feet, giving every last bit of blood for you and me. I can only imagine the happiness on satans face and the party that must have been going on in hell at that moment when Jesus cried out It is finished! But.....Sunday was on the way!!! The stone was rolled away and Jesus, the same one who suffered and died so that we may live, arose from that cold, dark grave, defeating death, sickness and sin. When I stop and think about that I cant help but cry. Nobody has ever loved me more than He does so why is it so hard for me to give Him my life everyday? Its because the devil is still alive and trying to take people to hell with him. But because of Easter and what Jesus did for me, and for all of you, I have the promise of a risen Saviour who has already made a way for me and who literally has my back! Thank you Lord for what you did for me on that cross so many years ago and thank you for that empty tomb!!!
