Can you believe this for a story on a Free cycle group I had only just joined last week. I put a post on last night with a photo of a black metal bird feeder that i no longer wanted, rather than have the hassle of selling it i decided to go hassle free (choke choke) and give it away on a free cycle group locally.....well errrr...thought it was going to be hassle free (cough cough). When i looked at the post this morning there were about 10 people asking to take it...all the comments read...would you consider me please. Quite amazed I decided then to post that the first person to inbox me with a date for collection could have it (I did this to bind that I would get a genuine collector as ive had time wasters on a non fb free sites before) I agreed to a local lady up the road from me having it as she was the first one to inbox me a date to collect, common sense i would think? and then announced who it had gone to. Well all hell broke loose, we were told we cant inbox....and ....such and such was first and calling for admin lol! both myself and the lady were accused of breaking rules when there wasnt any cos I looked and so did other lady....and with all these squabbling people wanting it to be considered it was an absolute farse...id never felt so uncomfortable for giving away a free gift in all my life! I suggested to admin that maybe it was best to just let the first person who saw it have it and no others reply in that case rather than be chosen and interested people be considered I was really put off after this, can you believe people can get so argumentative over a free gift...how on earth can anyone consider anyone they dont know other than the way i did it !!! A bad case of throwing dummy out to the unlucky ones me thinks!
