Can you help with a NAME? I bought a second hotel in June this year to add to Smiths, the 4 star hotel we built in 2006. The new one is a failed business that was languishing in administration but on a good location close to the main road junction at the entry point to Scotland. I did not want to see it boarded up which would have been the next stage in its decline. Weve already doubled staff numbers and are putting a hefty investment programme in place to refurbish to a really good 3*** + standard over the next 12 months and in the New Year will be rebirthing it with a new name. It is at Gretna, just over the border, about a mile from Gretna Green. 38 bedrooms, function rooms and large bar/restaurant. Our market will be mixed corporate and leisure, including weddings. I have my own ideas, but am well aware that I do NOT have the monopoly on good ones! Anyone like to suggest? If your name is chosen, DBB for two in a refurbished suite will be yours, including a very healthy booze allowance!! All a bit of fun.
