Can you let me know what age groups you are running, and when? My lad is y6, and at St Thomas. We might be able to bring at least a couple of his age group along. Also, and not unrelated, you might know I run the Centurions RL team in summer. Id be happy to help/continue coaching kids through summer. Obviously Id want to coach league, but that may be a way to get kids from other winter clubs to come to Flowerpots for summer coaching. Cant hurt. Apart from anything else, the nature of league, especially at junior level, really helps get everyone involved. From experience, junior union tends towards endless mauls and the big kid and the fast kid getting most of the ball. League kids improve passing, running from deep and tackling, and they are young and keen enough to keep playing all year (especially when the weather is decent).
