Can you recommend a really good kids movie to me? I mean, a real kids movie. One that is light and funny and uplifting for kids 10 or even 12 and under? Mary Poppins? Dr. Doolittle (the original)? Milo and Otis? I am making a list for my wellness column for frustrated parents like myself and Id love your input. I was spurred by seeing Big Hero 6 last night with Jaslyn. Its a Disney movie marketed as a fun, funny adventure. It was one of the most depressing movies I have seen in a long time. As usual the parents were dead, ok I expect that from Disney, but this fun romp also featured a scary dude in an evil kabuki mask and the onscreen, traumatizing deaths of two lead characters including the cute balloon dude featured in all the ads.
