Can you share this please! Adam Sampson ▶ UB Strong , Union Beach , NJ Heres a story that happened to us last night... Persons of interest are from UB, late 30s/40s I dont know their names, or where they live but karma is a mother Fer and I hope they get hit with it hard in the mouth. Mercedes SUV, NJ reg V67 Silver in color The Pumpkin Theft, full story; Ok, so last night I fell asleep on the couch. Around 2/215 Fred (our dog) started with his something is wrong noises and woke me up. I got up and headed towards the door and noticed a Silver Mercedes parked in front of the driveway with its lights off. As I approached the door I noticed someone on our steps. My first reaction was to reach for something I normally have on me as I wasnt sure of their intentions, but its upstairs. Before I could figure out a plan B, they nabbed Shelbys pumpkin and ran to the SUV. I shouldve opened the door and punched him in the mouth but wasnt prepared.. I opened the door to say something and send Fred out, but they were pulling away. I ran back into the house, found my keys and bolted out the door, shoeless. Jumped in the Jeep and headed in their direction as fast as a Jeep could go. They had already crossed the next major intersection, but luckily for me, Mercedes has a bright blinker and I could see they made a right down a street. So I thought I lost them but took a guess and made a right. Went to the end of the street and figured make another to see if they were somewhere in this section. After making the right I saw their headlights coming towards me. I passed them and whipped a U at the next intersection. They had pulled up to another house loaded with pumpkins. I flicked on the LED bar which lights up the world like daylight and pull up behind them and write the plate down, then next to them. I roll down my window and motion for her to do the same. (At this time Im fuming) Me; Roll down your window. Her; :looks to the female passenger then the back seat M; ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN H; :window down: What? M; Give me my pumpkin. H; What pumpkin? M; Give. Me. My. pumpkin! H; We dont have a pumpkin.. M; :holding my dead cellphone: so when the cops get here they wont find my fat pumpkin in the back seat? H; one second :window up conversation with back seat:- :window down: ok here. So she gets out with bugs pumpkin and puts it on the front seat M; Real classy, stealing from a 3yo on her birthday, (Yes our daughter turned 3 on Friday) They drive off and I follow waiting for my phone to turn on so I can call the cops. They end up out running the jeep and hit the parkway. I loop back around and hit the UBPD to make a report just in case they come back and do whatever to the house.. Turns out they live here in town.. UBPD ends up stopping them while trying to steal more pumpkins! UBPD even contacted surrounding towns to alert them in case they got others. Charges will be filed through the town I will follow up on Monday and if I can Id like to take Shelby to court to confront them. Ill look into that more. Sad part is, they are UB residents in their late 30s and 40.. In a Mercedes stealing kids pumpkins. Please share this story and hopefully embarrass the culprits!!!!!
