Canadas Scott Cook is coming to Suttons House of Music at 31 Sturt Street, on January 29th. Show 8-11pm, $7 at the door. Canadas prairie balladeer Scott Cook is making his first visit to Ballarat, for a show at the newly-opened Suttons House of Music. A tirelessly traveling songwriter with heart forever on sleeve, Cook has been making a full-time living at music since 2007, touring extensively across Canada, the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. Hes currently on tour in support of his fourth release, One More Time Around, which weaves spacious folk and roots arrangements on fingerstyle guitar and clawhammer banjo with Cooks rough-hewn, conversational vocals. The album was just nominated for a 2014 Canadian Folk Music Award, and its opening track Pass It Along won the Folk and Acoustic category in the 2013 UK Songwriting Contest.
