Canadians have been advised that Prime Minister Steven Harper will be re-evaluating the $20 million dollars of our money that is sent to aid citizens in SRI LANKA annually. Hmm-m-m does he intend to ask us where and how the sum might better serve being spent here at home on Canadians needs? The global economy brings in goods manufactured off-shore at cheap prices. Maybe if SRI LANKANS were paid a living wage, they would not need foreign aid. Familiar sentiments amongst our unemployed and under-employed citizens trying to make it on minimum wages or fixed incomes.
