Cancer~~~~~~ The word makes us shudder. A devastating setback. It is a word we never get used to hearing. Can we be determined no weapon formed against us will prosper? Yes we can. Reach out through tears, confusion, devastation, and worry and grab the hand of Jesus. His hand is always there pulling us through when we are fighting the storms of this world. When we are going through the unthinkable-- with Jesus we are unsinkable. When we place our faith in Jesus, He is steadily anchoring us to the solid rock until our head is above water. His love never runs out even when our faith dwindles. Even when we get impatient. Even if we doubt. Pray for patience and endurance to ride the storm out. Endurance pays off and praying for patience is not off limits. Look at cancer eye-to-eye, kick the dirt, and stomp your feet and remind it of WHOSE you are---a child of the King. As one person said, You dont have a bad case of cancer --cancer has a bad case of you! Lets sing an old hymn together this morning.....“Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper.... 1John 4:4 Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
