Cancer Update November 27 Thanksgiving Eve. The Lord has done great things for us; whereof we are glad. Ps 126:3 I just returned from walking and it was cold out there, 28 degrees, but my heart could not be warmer. How can I say thanks for the great things he has done for me? It has been eleven months since I received the news that I had cancer, and that it was an aggressive cancer. It was by the Lord’s leading in that first month that I came to the Urologist, the Surgeon, and the Oncologist that I needed. It was by His protection that I went through chemotherapy with few side effects. It was by His provision that I came through the surgery with complete success and had a very rapid recovery in the hospital. When I met with Dr. Stein at the Cleveland Clinic two weeks ago, he was amazed when I told him that at the end of four days in the hospital they could find no medical reason to keep me any longer. And it is by His upholding strength that I am progressing in my recovery. And it is by His faithfulness that He has chosen to answer the prayers of so many people on my behalf. I give thanks first to Him for all He has done for me but I also give thanks for the many of you who have prayed on my behalf. When I remember all that He has done for me in this year, I can only believe it was for a purpose. I look forward to what the next year holds.
