Cannabis has a transformational effect on the lives of people who suffer from some of the most debilitating diseases. Sativex is an excellent product but it is fantastically expensive. Exactly the same cannabinoid content is available in Bedrocan, medicinal cannabis regulated by the Dutch government which could be introduced to the UK tomorrow if the Home Office would issue import licences in response to a doctors prescription. A months supply of Sativex costs £450 - £560. A months supply of Bedrocan costs £35 - £95. CLEAR Cannabis Law Reform has been lobbying government over this issue which led to a conference with the Home Office and Department of Health and Norman Bakers call for reform. We need to act now. A stroke of a pen is all that is need to relieve the pain, suffering and disability of hundreds of thousands of UK residents.
