Cannabis should be removed from the schedule as well!! 100% legal across the board. When asked about the Attorney Generals role in Medical Marijuana during the Brighthouse Political Connections Attorney General debate, Bill Wohlsifer, LPF answered: The Attorney Generals office is responsible for the controlled substance list. Were at issue with the passage of SB1030 (the Charlottes Web bill) when we have a Schedule I controlled substance for Cannabis, yet our legislators recognize Cannabis as having medicinal value. The Attorney General has to fix that. To explain further, here is the definition of Schedule I Controlled Substances: Substances in this schedule have no currently accepted medical use in the United States, a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision, and a high potential for abuse. When the legislators passed SB1030, a strain of medical marijuana used to treat epilepsy was decided to have accepted safety for use under medical supervision and therefore Cannabis must now be removed from the list of Schedule I Controlled substances to reconcile the list with the law. Bill Wohlsifer says: The current Attorney General failed in her duty to do that. As your next Attorney General, to resolve the conflict I just described, I will take Cannabis off the list of Schedule I Controlled substances and reschedule the strains appropriately.
