Cant believe the attitude on some adis....... I was sat at the test centre gabbling away to colleagues as usual whilst my car was out. Another adi brought a young nervous male in and sat next to us and joined in the conversation awaiting their examiner...... Their pupil off their own back checks their licence and realises they are missing their photocard licence, stating they had put it in their envelope with the other part. The Adi with them threw their keys at them and said you better check the car then. Now if it see me I would have gone out and checked the car with them (well really I would have checked it prior to leaving the house) but the adi stayed in the test centre. Student comes back looking stressed, withdrawn, white - he cant find it. Adi just shrugs and says ah well, you will just have to come back another time. No compassion, no helpful - come on then I will help you look,no where did you have it last etc , etc ... The student starts to almost cry & puts his head in his hands - adi still doesnt say anything ..... I felt awful and it had nothing to do with me..... I suggested the student went back and had another look in the car , under the seat, car mat, even outside of the car etc ... The Adi with him still didnt go out to help just sat there..... Student came back again no luck ..... Adi said to him , we will wait to see the examiner then go home.... Still nothing to do with me but I said come on lets go out and look one more time .... It was found underneath his car and the student made the test.... The adi made no effort at all and the end result would have been they would have driven away, missed the test and left the bloody photocard on the floor In the test centre. I know we cant mollycoddle our students but when I bring a student for test I feel I need to have them as best prepared as possible with the best possible start. To me , this adi just didnt give a shit :-/
