Cant get the picture out of my head.... Before they closed the casket, I placed a matchbox batmobile in his breast pocket....I couldnt bear to let the man who taught me how to take care of my toys, so they would be worth something one day, to go to the next plane of existence without any toys....He loved his collectibles so....I was the first to place a kiss upon his forehead when we walked in and i was the last to kiss him upon his head as they prepared the casket to be placed into the hearse...Cold, he was, oh so cold...almost metallic to the touch....The mortician guided me thru the covering of his body with the shroud, let it be as though you are tucking him into bed for the last time, he said as i burst into tears...no one else can say they have done this for him...., He whispered in my ear to comfort me....My Uncle Henry and I, along with my Uncle Billys long time friend of 16 plus yrs, Samuel, all carried him onto the hearse. Although he had asked his long time friend, Samuel to leave him be, in what he knew would be his last days....he was not alone....not truly anyway....Of this I am most grateful....the past ten yrs he had stayed away from the family, because he knew this would be his last decade on earth, but i was most afraid that in his last moments, he would be alone, with no one who loved him around him....alas he was not....not in the true definition of the word....Samuel would periodically check on him from time to time, he was the one who would discover his body Oct 1st, 2014.... My Uncle Billy was such a kind man....bringing a smile to all those around him, regardless of the pain he was in physically, you would never think for a second he was sick....such a beautiful man....loved by many....my heart will remain heavy for a long, long time.... Aside from being a toy collector, a lover of cats, and a really good black jack dealer....My Uncle was an amateur singer....He loved Sade, ENigma, Deep Forest and he loved singing George Michael Songs....This was one of his favorite ones to sing.....
