Cant sleep ! The energy of the storm is keeping me up. Its not that I am scared of thunder, at all. Its a biological thing where the energy of a good storm lights my system up like a Christmas Tree. I love to watch lightening in action. Ice swirling in the upper atmosphere creates a static difference of potential with the ground and other clouds. The access electrons rush towards it. On the ground side, several points send up plasma fingers, then suddenly, two fingers connect, and plasma transfers from the ground to the positively charged electrons . A plasma conduit forms, hotter than the sun, and the atmosphere is vaporized, leaving a hole ( your seeing at this point the flash). The pure energy of the plasma, at this time almost in a liquid state and many degrees Kelvin in heat, aggressively disharges. The surrounding atmosphere rushes in from all sides and colides in the middle, causing a resonant sound wave we perceive as thunder. Every plasma conduit carries enough energy to power a small modern community for months. If we had batteries that could charge fast enough that we could capture it, we wouldnt need oil, coal, nuclear, or anything else. Mother nature kicks ass !
