Cant wait to get that new Common CD. Why arent our popular artists committed to real hip hop anymore like him and those like him? We need a music & entertainment rights activist to help us stay connected to real artists & support them instead of the negative demeaning mindless crap on the radio. All The Industry has done since 1993 when they saw the power influence and affluent potential is get involved to consolidate and control the art by reducing the various musicians, the message, & therefore the people. What happened to Soul to Soul and so many other feel good songs who spoke positive & uplifting metaphors or short stories riddled with melodic lessons of morality. All we get is dog women, get money at all costs, smoke & drink, smash & dash songs and wonder why we are a generation of fatherless and motherless beings. A bunch of baby momma and baby daddy raising bastards. If you think music does not socialize then look at the increased prison population and how music has changed over time to celebrate fleshly desires only. The Industry tied the art & prisons together for profit. We fall hook line & sinker for The Almighty Dollar.
