Canvass this Saturday 4563 Whitnall St. Francis WI Between Building 2 & 3 Mary Burke is soaring and Scott Walker is reeling. In a rally and fund raising event sponsored by the Milwaukee County Dems participants cheered Mary on at the Lakefront Brewery this Sunday. The event had goals of 200 attendees and a commitment to raise $10,000. Final numbers still coming in show almost $28,000 was raised and there were over 300 attendees. Not only was the fund raising goal almost tripled the staff at Lakefront noted that they have never had so many people at an event hosted by them. Mary followed up with a press conference Monday talking about Scott Walkers failed policies leading toward a 1.8 billion dollar shortfall in the next budget. Meanwhile Scott Walker is sending out letters to his supporters begging them to vote early. This is from a man who has restricted early voting for Milwaukee residents. My guess is he wants them to vote before more bad news comes in like the reopening of John Doe 2. We will be canvassing in St. Francis and Cudahy this Saturday.
