Cape Town Orlando Pirates are trying to hijack Khama - TopicsExpress

Cape Town Orlando Pirates are trying to hijack Khama Billiats move to Mamelodi Sundowns. The Zimbabwean attacker has been in Pretoria for the last two days to negotiate personal terms with Sundowns after the Brazilians agreed on a transfer fee with Billiats club Ajax Cape Town. A decision on the players future is set to be made on Monday. But it seems the negotiations have hit a bit of a speed bump, as Billiats agent Edzai Kasinauyo and Sundowns officials havent reached an agreement on the players contract. And now it seems that Pirates are trying to steal Billiat from under Sundowns noses after they put in a late bid over the weekend. The Bucs have also apparently also come to the party as far as the players salary demands are concerned. A Sundowns official told the Cape Times on Sunday night that Pirates actually have a 50-50 chance of securing the players signature. According to sources close to Billiat, the player is also keen to move to Pirates, because he feels he will get more gametime in Soweto than in Pretoria. But it seems Ajax are reluctant to sell the player to Pirates. According to sources, the Bucs are offering money and a player, who is believed to be unsettled Namibian striker Rudolph Bester. Ajaxs next league match is against Pirates at the Cape Town Stadium next week Tuesday. And the Urban Warriors are probably not keen to face their former player in that match. Another snag in the deal between Ajax and Sundowns is Eleazar Rodgerss reluctance to head back to Cape Town on loan as part of a swap deal for Billiat. The former Santos man wants to stay in Gauteng, and would rather play for a club up north. ------------------------- SS
