Captain America: The First Avenger was a necessary tale to re-establish Steves relevance in the current era. I am glad the sequel picked up where it left off with much needed adrenaline. Consider the first film as a historical war movie, while Captain America: The Winter Soldier stands as an action packed spy thriller. I am hoping the third is a powerhouse superhero finale, assuming its a trilogy of course. Ten reasons to see this film (WARNING: may or may not contain spoilers): 10) Nick Fury. Seriously, if you havent read SHIELD stories, and have no idea how impossible Sgt. Fury is, this film scratches this characters iceberg well. Im glad no clones or bots have been involved thus far. Lalala... 9) Finally, a more personal and vulnerable side to the Black Widow. Since her introduction in the cinematic Marvel universe, she has been a kick-ass spy that just works well with the top billed heroes (not to mention shes played by Scarlett Johansson). Now you get to see a more intricate side of her that leaves things more open possibly even for a rumored solo movie in the future. 8) Batroc the Leaper! Unsuspectingly, I am glad he spoke pure French. And GSP! Hello! 7) Falcon. This guy is important in comic book history being the first African-American hero to hit Marvels mainstream series (Black Panther was introduced as African). I hoped they would give hints of red in his costume, but it was nice in any event. Though I must say, there were moments, I was going Hmmm, so did the government get that tech from Oscorp? 6) Captain America versus the people at the Triskelion. 5) Trust no one. Loosely, I think this premise was adapted from the Skrulls Secret Invasion storyline, but applied to a more practical espionage plot fitting in the more intricate webbing of SHIELD and the fictional government. 4) Hydra. From a seriously corny science driven faction for evil and world domination, to a sly historically relevant group that has subversively been trying to take over the world, its evolution in the Marvel cinematic universe is really a great interpretation. 3) Was that your first kiss since...
