However when you retire it takes an act of congress to get help with disability. My Spouse made a statement to social security yesterday and it may since. "When I went to fight in war for my country I had no waiting period or approval time. I went right when they needed me. Now that I am retired all I get is Veterans affairs is proving and wait. It’s the same with my reg. social security WE ARE LOOKING AT LOOSING EVERYTHING. I am not one to ask for help, but we need help financially. Could my contacts on here spare $5? We are in a BAD world spending right now. 1. We had to pay for an attorney, about Adrienne our child with Down syndrome for being raped while at her mothers. 2. Mitch lost his job due to company downsizing. He was denied for collecting unemployment because of his disability to work. He was denied food stamps, same reason. The VA is taking there sweet time with his disability and the regular social security for disability is going to take till Feb 2014 to get his first check. IT’S THE IN BETWEEN WE NEED HELP.
