Care industry job Position Deputy Manager Salary Attractive Job Type Permanent The Organisation AKC Home Support Services is one of the largest providers of domiciliary care in Conwy. Providing services to older people, people with disabilities (learning, physical or sensory impaired) and to individuals with mental health needs. Established over 21 years, AKC is based in Colwyn Bay. We provide in excess of 2000 hours per week of community living / domiciliary care to people living within their own homes and have 55 staff members who work either on a full or part time basis. The Purpose of the Position: • To take joint responsibility with the Registered Manager for the day to day running of the service. • To promote a caring environment for service users through high standards of professional practice which are conductive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the service users. • To ensure that each service users care is appropriate to their individual need. • To manage our invaluable quality staff teams. Principle Responsibilities: • Manage day to day running of the agency • Deputize in the absence of the Registered Manager • Coordinate client services • Undertake Assessments for new services • Coordinate and Participate in Meetings • Assist Registered Manager with Staff Recruitment • Manage Staff Teams to include effective training & induction, supervision & appraisals, coordinate work schedules. Person Specification: • At least 2 years experience in a senior management capacity within the last 5 years • A management qualification equivalent to NVQ level 4 • Ability to take responsibility • An active team player but also able to work on own initiative • Leadership skills • Self motivated • Organized • Versatile • A good communicator • Commitment to training Interested ?
