Careways Grocers, Braehead Road Heres a wee poser for you. Pictured below is a Box of Whiskas Cat Food, the question is, how much does it cost ?. It was bought this evening in the Careways shop on Braehead Road, the Yellow painted shop (not Farooqs). It was placed on the counter along with a Kilo Bag of Sugar. The price is quite clearly marked on the box, there is no other product other than this, but with different flavours, on the shelves of the shop with the same price. So back to the question - How Much ?. Yes, youve got it correct , £3:29 UhUh, £3:99 .....unless you notice how much hes rung up on the Till and correct him. Its relevant that the price of this is unique because he cant then claim to have been confused by another product. I was served by the tallest one of the three in the shop and happened to notice hed rung up the Full Price and not the reduced price and then asked for the full amount which he amended when I told him he was wrong, no apology offered. I believe he intentionally tried to overcharge me. I have had similar occasions when Ive been unclear about their pricing but never bothered about it, particularly a few weeks ago when I suspected my Son had been done, tonight I happened to catch the price on the Till. I wont be in his shop again, not that I give them much business anyway due to my previous suspicions, but please be aware of prices charged IF you happen to use this place.
