Caribou Has Assembled an Enormous Mixtape!!! The Canadian artist has compiled 1000 of his favorite songs in a YouTube playlist. Following the wildly successful release of last years Our Love LP, it would be hard to fault Caribou (a.k.a. Dan Snaith) if he elected to simply relax and bask in the afterglow. Snaith, however, seems to have other ideas, as the Canadian artist seems determined to keep busy. Just today, hes shared a massive YouTube playlist that hes dubbed The Longest Mixtape: 1000 Songs for You. Describing the effort via Facebook as a sort of thank you, Snaith adds, As you can imagine, music has been a central love of my life since I was a teenager and over the years Ive been introduced to a lot that has stayed with me. Ive collected the majority of that music here – and I thought sharing it with you seemed like one way I could say thanks. Ever the pragmatist, he also suggests that people listen to this on shuffle as I made no attempt to sequence these tracks - I just entered them as I browsed along the shelves in my record collection.
