Caring for Canines requires all adopters to provide appropriate - TopicsExpress

Caring for Canines requires all adopters to provide appropriate and humane care including but not limited to food, water, adequate exercise, shelter, training and all other necessary forms of support for the pets they adopt from us. Adopters are also required to provide proper veterinarian care on a normal schedule, as well as in an emergency or illness. Unfortunately not all people adhere to these guidelines and as our number one goal is the safety and well-being of the dog, certain people do not qualify to adopt and keep a dog from our organization. Here is a link for more information: maricopa.gov/pets/laws.aspx Maricopa County law requires that pet owners provide their animal with proper medical care. This means that if your pet is injured, sick, or infested with parasites, you are responsible for getting adequate veterinary attention. If you are unable to afford care, you are still required by law to prevent the animal from suffering.
