Caring for Others Could Cure the World Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2: 4 Jesus Christ devoted His whole life to caring for others. His love for people was all embrac- ing. This was obvious in His relationship with everyone He came across. Despite the circum- stances, or regardless of them, His first thought was always for others---even when He was nail- ed to the cross. Jesus commanded His followers to love one another as He loves us. It is unavoidable that this will include self-sacrifice. In our ministry of love to one another, we must show the same com- passion and forgiving love that the Master has for us. Only in doing so can the wounds of this world be healed. Holy Spirit of God, fill me with the desire and ability to love my neighbor as You love me. In Jesus name, Amen.
