Carnival Spirit Team Member Update - As you know, Carnival Spirit changed course yesterday to look for our missing team member and we also notified search and rescue authorities. Unfortunately, our missing team member has not been located and the New Caledonia search and rescue authority has advised that it has suspended the operation and also released Carnival Spirit from the search. All of us at Carnival are deeply saddened by this tragic event and we continue to provide support to our missing team members family and friends. Furthermore, we have made arrangements to have a trauma counsellor join the ship within 48 hours to offer support to our other team members. We ask that you please join us in keeping them in your thoughts and prayers. Guests onboard have received updates on the situation and the effect on their cruise itinerary. Todays scheduled call at Port Denarau has been cancelled and Carnival Spirit is proceeding to Suva for her scheduled call tomorrow.
