I had experienced the power of gospel music in my life and witnessed it in the lives of others and decided that I wanted to be a part of that. I guess that I’m proud that Jireh Gospel Choir is still here! That 4 of the singers and 3 of the musicians have been a part of Jireh for more than 10 years. That the original vision for Jireh music and the business (“gospel with excellence”) is being realized and growing. And that we are recording and releasing original gospel songs in English and in French. I listen to music and pay attention to what’s happening in the gospel music industry and in the world in general. I also pray, and consult with the singers and other music friends. My goal is to select songs that will entertain and nourish our souls. For me gospel music is the evolution of black music with the message of the gospel meaning “good news” of Jesus. It is important for people to realize that. Otherwise they might wonder why gospel singers are always singing about Jesus! I’m talking about black music which originated in the USA from the time the slaves were brought there from Africa up to the black music of today. I have an extraordinary team of singers and musicians so I’m proud to say that people can expect an authentic gospel experience. The music will be great and we will invite the audience to participate (if they want) by dancing, clapping their hands, and singing. It will be a live “Rock N Nonne” experience, like you saw in that movie and other movies with gospel choirs, kind of like taking a trip to a church with a gospel choir in the USA for the price of a concert ticket. You will also get a preview of 1 or 2 of the songs that we will release before Christmas this year. Party in a church.
