Carole and I have decided to do something each week for the next - TopicsExpress

Carole and I have decided to do something each week for the next year that we either havent done in a long time or have never done at all. So here goes: WEEK 1 We cleaned the basement of our house. Sure weve done it before but it was a long time since we tackled that job. Two of the discoveries we made were my table saw and our treadmill, which had stacks of stuff piled on them. Welcome back saw and treadmill. Some of things we found: The owners manual for our 1971 Pontiac, which we havent had for 30 years, A clock radio I purchased in my first year of college (1960). I plugged it in and it still works. But no FM stations. A tattered 1925 Police Gazette magazine with a well-dressed lady on the cover. The caption reads: Girls heres a tip: wear fur garters to match your fur coats. Two unopened boxes of programs from the 2006 Rochesterfest lumberjack show. There were 140 programs in each. They were so heavy that I almost needed a fork lift to move them. Rochester Renegade and Rochester Aces caps, both from long gone Rochester pro teams that some people accused me (when I was a sports editor) of running out of town. A yardstick advertizing Rochester Breeding Farms Hatchery. A Post-Bulletin promo ad that looks to be from the 1970s plugging the papers sports staff. Paul Christian is the only one still there. And then there was an item, obviously having something to do with aviation, with a pin on one end and a ribbon that reads: Remove before flight. Does anybody know what this is? I dont.
