Carrie Sue Darity Sanner of Duncan passed away February 14, 2014 at her home in Duncan. Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home with Reverend Harold Metheny officiating and Harley Files assisting. Interment will be in the new Velma Cemetery. Carrie was born August 28, 1935 at Countyline, Oklahoma the daughter of Ben and Kathryn Strickland Darity. She was raised in the Velma area and attended the Velma Schools. She and Guy Loring were married April 25, 1951 in Lawton, Oklahoma and to this union daughters Kathy and Debbie were born. She later married G.L. Sanner on September 6, 1959 at Durant, Oklahoma. They traveled across the country in the oilfields until 1980 when they made their home east of Duncan to be close to their grandchildren. She worked at various jobs including Cline Industries and Halliburton. She and G.L. loved to dance to Bob Wills music and annually went to the Bob Wills Festival at Turkey, Texas. She was preceded in death by G.L. on March 16, 1994, her parents, a sister Wanda Darity McDonald, a brother J.B. Darity and a granddaughter Lindsey Lumbert. Survivors include her daughters Kathy White and her husband Ronnie of Duncan and Debbie McGhee and her husband Richard of Walters, Oklahoma; a brother Harold Darity and his wife Janice of Velma; two grandsons Jason White and his wife Maria of Lawton and Lance White and his wife Michelle of Marlow, Oklahoma; granddaughters Mikaela McGhee of Norman, Kelly McGhee of Flower Mound, Texas, and Leigh Obermier and her husband Jason of Henrietta, Texas; great grandchildren Jaycee Obermier of Henrietta, Texas and Zane White of Marlow, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends
