Carrie picked me up at 10:00 AM and we met Patty and Susan at UCI and the day began. I am not such a good patient and the tears started in AM till PM. Started at nuclear medicine where they injected 4 shots of radioactive die that led them back to the blue nodes. Then pictures were taken from my neck to my pelvis to see if the cancer had spread. Then to pre-op where they got me ready for surgery. Put in the I.V. and Carrie gave me a little bit of credit for being a little stronger. Carrie was able to go to each procedure with me. I talked with the doctors and then off to sleep. I woke up out of surgery and was crying and scared and had no idea where I was. Got home last night at 8:00 PM, a long day. I am sure feeling the pain. They took 3 nodes under my arm and then the melanoma was cut out. I had one of the best surgeons (everyone kept telling my family that she was the best). Slept horrible due to had to sleep laying on my hip and Im very sore everywhere. Carrie slept with me and love having her so close to me - what a little nurse. It was like reminiscing sleeping with Paulynne. I love you God and thank you all for the many prayers he sure had his hands full yesterday with me. We are so fortunate to have our Lord to worship. Got to go and practice my jumping jacks. (just kidding, cant even move my arm or body very well. Love all.
