Case Consultation and Study Group~Starts April 16th Psychodynamic psychotherapy is an exciting and powerful modality which pays careful attention to the relationship between client and therapist. Working within the relationship the therapist attends to underlying reasons for the clients unhappiness, poor work performance or relationship issues, especially attending to “here and now” interactions between the client and therapist. Psychodynamic work can deepen our understanding as therapists of the therapeutic process as well as our clients as human beings. In this group we will explore the process of psychodynamic psychotherapy and the different schools of thought in this field, such as self psychology, object relations, and intersubjectivity. This group is for mental health professionals who wish to have a chance to discuss their cases in a confidential setting as well as review applicable articles or readings. This new group is being offered in Edina on Wednesday afternoons from 1-2:15pm, for six weeks. It will meet weekly beginning April 16th, 2014. The fee for the entire six sessions is $150.00.
